Conyers won’t advertise its seafood prowess, but the proof is in the messy, glorious piles at The Juicy Crab. You want jerk spice that slaps at Fisher's Kitchen; you want a chain redemption arc at Red Lobster, where Craig’s service is studlier than the lobster.

Skip Crawfish Seafood Market, whose cold, greasy shrimp should come with a warning label, and make a beeline for JD Crawfish, where fried shrimp arrives hot enough to burn your tongue. This list runs from a rockin’ crab circus to quietly perfect catfish.

Go find your table. A full stomach is the only loyalty card that matters here.

Authentic Jamaican flavors throughout
Curried chicken plate impressed
Generous portions for value
Friendly service near closing
Snapper stew needs refinement

Fisher's Kitchen LLC brings real Jamaican heat to Conyers, and I mean that as a compliment. The curried chicken plate impressed me with bold spice and a sauce that demanded bread. Portions are generous for the price, which is rare these days. Service stayed friendly even as closing time crept up, a small mercy. The snapper stew, though, needs work; the fish turned soft and the broth lacked the punch of its chicken cousin. Still, this is a kitchen with personality. I left full, curious, and already planning my next order.

Service treats you right

Frank's Restaurant feels less like dining out and more like a Sunday supper at a friend’s house, if your friend knows how to pour a drink. The food is honest and the drinks are strong. Kids get welcomed with a warmth that suggests the owners have survived their own toddler years. Try the country steak; it arrived smothered in gravy that made the mashed potatoes jealous. Service treats you like family, which means they check on you but don’t hover. No frills, no pretension. Just good company and a reliable plate.

Margaritas made for slow evenings
Worth returning for Mexican seafood

Las Flores is where Mexican seafood gets its act together. Alex walked me through the menu with genuine care, explaining each dish like it mattered. He was right about the portions, perfectly sized and well seasoned. Jessica delivered service that felt personal, almost conspiratorial. The margaritas are built for slow evenings, the kind you stretch on purpose. I’ll be back for the shrimp cocktail; the memory of its lime and cilantro is already tugging at me. This place earns its return trips.

Barbecue flavor that bursts

Alpha & Omega Fish BBQ & More has smiles as warm as the food, which is saying something because the rib tips fall off the bone with little persuasion. Portions are hefty, and you’ll leave with leftovers or a happy belly, maybe both. The staff offer expert guidance, steering me toward the barbecue plate that burst with smoky flavor. Nothing fancy here, just honest cooking and friendly service. I’d drive across Conyers for their wings alone. This is the kind of spot you keep in your back pocket for when you need comfort on a plate.

Pleasant, knowledgeable service assured
Satisfying trip from South Carolina

The Juicy Crab earned my loyalty on a single visit, and I came all the way from South Carolina. That’s not a small endorsement. Server Vinny brightened the whole room, recommending the celebration bowl with the precision of someone who knows their menu. It hit the spot, a messy, glorious pile of shellfish and sauce that demanded finger work. Service stayed pleasant and knowledgeable despite the chaos of a busy night. If you’re skeptical about driving far for seafood, Vinny will change your mind. I’d do it again.

Highlights
Blackened catfish and sweet potatoes
Attentive service from Angell
Lively band and ambiance
Delicious oysters Rockefeller specials
Diminished portions and menu changes

Coaxum's Low Country Cuisine knows how to put on a show. The blackened catfish arrived with sweet potatoes that tasted like they’d been slow-roasted with love. Angell took care of me and my table with a watchful eye, always a step ahead. A lively band filled the room with music that made conversation a joyful effort. The oysters Rockefeller special were worth every penny, briny and rich. But I noticed the portions have shrunk, and the menu has lost a few old friends. Still, a place with this much soul deserves another visit.

Highlights
Cold crawfish from freezer
Bland corn and potatoes
No seasoning on shrimp
Burnt grease flavor
No refunds offered

Crawfish Seafood Market tested my patience. The crawfish came cold from the freezer, which is never a sign of care. The corn and potatoes were bland, as if seasoning had been an afterthought. Shrimp arrived with no seasoning at all, just a faint burnt grease flavor that clung to the roof of my mouth. When I asked for a refund, they said no. No apology, no offer to fix it. I left hungry and annoyed. This is the kind of place you avoid unless you enjoy disappointment served on a styrofoam plate.

Friendly family-owned service
Delicious fried rice
Crispy, tasty fries
Fair prices, generous portions

Grub Shack is the kind of family-owned spot that doesn’t need to try hard because the food does the talking. The honey ranch wings are excellent, sticky, tangy, and fried with confidence. Their fried rice surprised me with its depth, each grain separate and flavorful. Fries arrive crispy and hot, the way fries should be. Prices are fair and portions are generous, a combination that keeps the line moving. Service is friendly, the kind that remembers your name after one visit. I left with a full stomach and a satisfied smirk.

Worth the return trip

JD Crawfish New Orleans Seafood is doing something right, and the health score of 100 backs it up. The fried shrimp came out hot, fresh, and not a hint of grease. Prices beat the rivals in town, which makes the quality feel like a steal. I’ll be back for the catfish, but this first trip already won me over. The service is quick, the place is clean, and the food tastes like someone actually cares. Worth the drive, worth the return. Conyers should be grateful for this spot.

Attentive, punctual table service

Craig’s exceptional black-tie care
Best food quality experienced
Warm, efficient greeting seating

Red Lobster in Conyers surprised me. Craig’s black-tie care turned a chain meal into something personal. The table service was attentive and punctual, refilling drinks before I asked. Food arrived quick and fresh, the best quality I’ve had at any location lately. They greeted us warmly at the door and seated us without a wait. The biscuits, of course, were perfect. But it was the service that elevated the meal. Craig treated us like regulars, even on a first visit. That’s how you build loyalty. I’ll be back.

Highlights
Hot food, cold service
Loud live music Fridays
Mandatory 15% gratuity
Jessica’s standout attentiveness
Salt overload in sausage

Rockin Crab Seafood & Bar serves hot food with cold service. The live music on Fridays is loud enough to shake the windows, but not in a good way. A mandatory 15% gratuity appears on your bill whether you liked the service or not. Jessica, though, stood out as the one bright spot, attentive and genuinely kind. The sausage arrived nearly salt-bombed, so salty I had to scrape it off. The crab itself was decent, but the environment felt more like a circus than a restaurant. I left with a headache and a lesson.

Highlights
Fried catfish and scallops
Perfectly seasoned, not salty
Fast service, friendly owners
Buttered corn and sides
Turkey necks worth trying

Bayou Seafood is a quiet win. I ordered the fried catfish and scallops, and both came perfectly seasoned without a trace of salt overload. The buttered corn and sides tasted like they’d been cooked with patience. Service was fast, and the owners greeted me like an old neighbor. Turkey necks are worth the try, rich and fall-apart tender. Nothing fancy here, just honest cooking and a friendly counter. I polished my plate and wished I’d ordered more. This is the kind of spot you drive past, then regret you did.
